Electrical and Mechanical Contractor with offices in Charleston, Columbia,
and Greenville, SC. Each office provides electrical service while Charleston
provides mechanical services statewide. The company’s average annual
revenue exceeds $35 million.
Our staff of more than 200 full time employees includes several key people
who have been with the company since it’s inception in 1979. These
senior managers, superintendents and project managers provide a wealth
of institutional, technical knowledge and field experience making H.R.
Allen, Inc. a leading provider for electrical and mechanical services
in the Southeast.
The firm’s principles, Herbert R. Allen, Sr., P.E. and Herbert R.
Allen, Jr., P.E., have a combined fifty years experience in designing
and installing complex electrical and mechanical projects. Examples of
their work include manufacturing plants, schools, nursing homes, waste
water facilities, hospitals, ammunition assembly buildings, and indoor/outdoor
lighting systems. H.R. Allen, Inc is also a licensed General Contractor.
Our largest project to date was the $14 million renovation for the Medical
University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC, completed in 1998. During
the firm’s twenty-seven years of operations we have completed hundreds
of projects totaling more the $500 million.
In 1998 H.R. Allen, Inc ranked eighty-eight on the “Arthur Andersen
South Carolina 100”, a ranking of the largest one hundred privately
owned firms in South Carolina. Our size allows us to provide bonds for
any size job in the electrical and/or mechanical construction, renovation,
or service area.
